BASKETBALL SKILL+BIOMECHANICS+MINDSET

ONE PLAYER. ONE CONNECTED APPROACH.

Every possession starts with a foundation.

Your handle, footwork, decisions, and response to pressure work together. We develop the player behind the play, connecting purposeful skill work to the demands of basketball.

TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT

Build your skill.

Develop ball handling, shooting, passing, and finishing with purposeful repetitions and feedback built around your game.

BIOMECHANICS

Move with intent.

Connect balance, footwork, force control, and coordination to your shot, first step, defensive movement, and landings.

EP MINDSET

Play with composure.

Build confidence, sharpen your focus, and practice responding to mistakes while you train. Carry a clear focus on the next play onto the court.

PRIVATE COACHING AT THE HEART

Your game.
Your priorities.
Your development.

Training starts with your experience, movement, goals, and current team demands. We identify the details that deserve attention and build your sessions around them.

For middle school, high school, and college athletes, the starting point is individual. The standard is consistent: purposeful work, honest feedback, and a willingness to learn.

SKILLS THAT CONNECT TO THE GAME

Keep developing your game.

Your experience and goals guide the work, from foundational skills to reading complex game situations. We teach how to perform each skill and when to use it.

Ball handling & control

Build control with either hand. Change pace and direction, protect your dribble, and keep your eyes up to read the floor.

Shooting & shot preparation

Refine your base, balance, coordination, and release. Practice preparing to shoot off the catch, off the dribble, and from the free throw line.

Finishing & footwork

Develop gathers, pivots, and finishes with either hand. Practice controlled takeoffs, body position, and touch around the basket.

Passing & court awareness

Work on timing, accuracy, and passing angles. Read cues and connect your decisions to teammates and available space.

Defense & positioning

Develop your defensive stance, lateral movement, closeouts, and controlled changes of direction. Connect footwork to positioning and communication.

Movement without the ball

Practice cutting, spacing, changing pace, and preparing to receive a pass. Learn to contribute to the play without the ball.

BIOMECHANICS BUILT IN

Move with control.
Play with purpose.

We apply biomechanics to how you stop, change direction, rise into a shot, and land.

Movement quality guides progression. We build control first, then add speed, challenge, and decisions as you are ready.

Stop, plant & change direction

Develop deceleration, foot placement, and balance for controlled stops, pivots, cuts, and defensive transitions.

Jump & land with control

Build foot and ankle stability, coordinated takeoffs, and controlled landings. Add speed and challenge as movement quality improves.

Connect your base to your shot

Work on balance through your lower body, trunk control, and coordinated movement through your shooting action and finishes.

POWERED BY EP MINDSET

The next possession needs your focus.

A missed shot, turnover, or tough call can disrupt your focus. We help you practice resetting so you can respond to the next possession or defensive assignment with clarity.

RESET

Reset for the next play.

Use breathing, a reset cue, and a specific next action to move your attention from the mistake back to the game.

IDENTITY & ATTITUDE

Choose your response.

Practice constructive self-talk. Build your identity around preparation, effort, and coachability rather than the result of your last shot.

HABITS & PERSPECTIVE

Bring it every session.

Set clear goals, practice disciplined habits, and use gratitude and perspective to recognize progress beyond the scoreboard.

A RHYTHM THAT FITS YOUR SEASON

Consistency, with the full picture in mind.

Your team practices, games, tournaments, school schedule, and recovery all matter when we plan your development.

OUR GENERAL RECOMMENDATION

Two sessions per week

Regular coaching and repetition create more opportunities to reinforce details, apply feedback, and build continuity.

A PURPOSEFUL IN-SEASON OPTION

One session per week

One session per week can suit athletes balancing school, AAU, or travel team commitments. We account for tournament weekends, practice demands, and recovery when planning the workload.

For dedicated off-season development, we recommend a minimum of two sessions per week. Explore off-season training →
